Daily Dig – Leopold & His Fiction

The hard blues rock played by Leopold & His Fiction made sense once I learned that front man Daniel James grew up in Detroit. There are recognizable characteristics that the San Francisco trio share with the likes of The White Stripes and Black Keys, but L&HF have inherited a broader collection of styles dipping into country, folk, and classic rock n roll that critics have compared to Bob Dylan and The Doors. Now, six years after the band originally formed, L&HF really feel they have captured the perfect sound. They recently finished a two month tour (including a show at 2010 SXSW) following the release of Golden Friends in March, and they can be caught next performing at LIVE 105’s BFD Local Stage at the Shoreline, June 6.
